Stayed here and attended a friends wedding last weekend. After a long day travelling the width of the country from Cornwall we were greeted by friendly staff. They couldn’t do enough for us, even reopening the bar for us when we returned to the hotel late at night. Every single one of them were great. The whole team really are a credit to the hotel. The room itself was spotless and had everything I needed for my stay. The breakfast was great as was the evening meal I had there on the Friday night I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We travelled from Cornwall to attend a wedding. On arrival the welcome we received was amazing. The room was spacious, clean, and, important for February, it was warm. A very comfortable bed. The view across the beach from our bedroom window was a wonderful suprise. The service from staff was efficient but friendly, perfect. We've never had so much on a breakfast plate before, and it was all delicious. Highly recommended if you're looking for a stay in Lowestoft.

Attended a friend’s wedding here this weekend. Was a massive journey from Cornwall to Lowestoft. Plenty of room to park car in car park. Brilliant welcome upon arrival. Smart tidy reception. The room we were given was not a sea view but that didn’t matter as the room was absolutely perfect, very comfortable bed and spotless clean and smelt fresh. The entire staff here made our stay very enjoyable and provided an excellent service and a real credit to the hotel. Even kept the bar open till silly o’clock. Food was fantastic, atmosphere of the whole place was very chilled and all you wanted. Wish we had a hotel like this closer to us in Cornwall. You can’t go wrong in staying here or if you’re thinking of it for your wedding venue this would have to be your choice.

Sunday Lunch: A very GOOD menu selection for diners. I choose the Beef (rare, as I prefer) whilst my partner went for the Pork (succulent). Silver service - a nice touch. Staff most welcoming and very attentive. Would recommend and will be returning again.

Fantastic family short break. Walks on the beach and fantastic breakfasts! Location has incredible view of the sea and sunrises (first to see the sun in the UK I believe) Staff couldn’t be more helpful and made our busy 3 kids feel at home and relaxed as well as us.

Probably the best hotel location in Lowestoft set on the cliffs overlooking the fantastic blue flag beach. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment at this time so things look a little chaotic, but the staff are on hand to help where they can and very friendly. Only ate breakfast as we were there for a function, the food was fresh and good quality. 25/02/2022 Great lunch, sea bass and fish medley dishes looked and tasted great. Waiting staff were fantastic. 01/01/2025 Excellent new years day brunch, served by cheerful members of staff. Other hotels should take note, I've been visiting the hotel for a number of years and I see the same staff every time, must be a great place to work. It just proves its not difficult to provide good food and good service, updating to a 5* review, well done Adam and your team.

As a keen supporter of local businesses, the pictures on their website made us hopeful. However if you don't have a sea view room, don't expect the same quality as advertised. In spite of the lovely pictures on their website and relatively high price over the festive period (despite choosing a room only tarrif), we found a shared bedroom door, pealing wallpaper, paper-thin pillows, ancient, crumbling and dirty windows, blinds with holes in, the bathroom floor coming off the skirting board, mouldy sealant in the bathroom shower, a shower mechanism we had to fix to get working, a toilet that barely flushed and two 33cl (330ml) bottles (one of shower gel and one of shampoo) with a small soap bar to last two adults for 3 nights; leading to us using hand soap from nearby family to shower ourselves with. In addition, the mattress was clearly dipped in the middle, meaning we struggled to sleep. My partner normally needs 1 pillow to sleep. Here, she used 4 as they were so thin. Looking through reviews here, most are positive except those in our situation, which management say, since 2022, has been undergoing renovations with the owners assuring negative reviewers that your room will be renovated next. This has been their response to negative reviews for multiple years, so I am inclined not to believe this. We asked cleaning staff for some new shampoo on our first morning, and we were told they don't do refills. Minutes later, my partner overheard the manager telling the receptionist that they weren't giving anyone a refund unless it's for food, whilst standing in the foyer. We had asked to change rooms on our first night, but we were told they were full up when we arrived. That said, the staff on check-in were polite, and we were kindly given a Christmas card from staff, and some nice biscuits were left in our room. On our second morning, I did ask at reception for some more shower gel, and they did provide us with two more 33cl bottles. We can't comment on food as we chose to stay here whilst visiting family over Christmas and did not eat at the hotel. We had hoped for a relaxing Christmas break with a comfortable stay but have been left thoroughly disappointed and dejected. Needless to say, we will not be back. Edit: The last thing we wanted was to personally upset anyone. We simply wished to voice our discontent at a stay, which fell below the standards that previous reviews and the website represent. In the face of direct and personal disrespect and lack of professionalism by the hotel owner, I would like to state I have reduced the service star rating. I hope that the business owner can learn from this instance just as we have and will refrain from name-calling customers who leave negative reviews. We wish you and the company the best and hope that the hotel can continue to go from strength to strength in the future.

Arrived Xmas morning for a 2 night stay with Family members. Very warm welcome as always from all staff. Had Xmas dinner which was superb as always. Adam & his team really do work as a team, with a smile on their faces & nothing too much trouble.

We had afternoon tea for my wife's 60th birthday The room is very tastefully decorated in greys and silver beautifully clean and tidy. The food is delicious bread soft and fresh delicate cakes, lemon curd tart mouth watering Two types of sausage rolls with chutney finished with fruit scones jam and cream. Writing this I'm still full, we will definitely go again

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding at the end of September. The room was really clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast choice was plentiful and delicious. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. The booths we sat in were very cosy. We had the good weather so it added extra pleasure to walk just out of the Hotel along the sea front. Last, but not least, the staff were amazing. I take my hat off as to how they helped us and their friendliness.

Lovely food, fantastic staff, great hotel. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Rooms are being decorated gradually to lovely standard. Bar and restaurant area modern and bright. Definitely will back for another stay. Some of the staff who were outstanding Nigel, Daniel, Karen Ethan, and reception staff( forgotten names) and Mr Boss man Adam, fantastic.

SORRY. I can not share v rooms as didn't stay as we live here. It was THE VERY BEST DAY! A 4 course meal, fabulous band. We booked The Beatles Tribute band today. We haven't enjoyed ourselves so much for a very long time. Shaky starter 4. 5/5 Main 5/5 Pudding 5/5 Coffee and cake 5/5 Staff....10/5 Service....10/5 Cleanliness 10/5 Best service10/5 Entertainment 10/5 Absolutely... a beautiful afternoon.A complete GOLD STAR to ALL INVOLVED !!!!! FABULOUS ❤️
